After breakfast you drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. En-route Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, supposed to be built to mark the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to this area then Proceed further and experience the effects of magnetic Hill which is set to defy the law of gravity and admire the confluence of holy Indus & Zanskar. After visiting the Sangam, you continue your drive along the river Indus . Further drive to Kargil enroute visiting the 11th century Lamayuru Monastery enroute visiting the mesmerizing MOON LANDSCAPES (you will believe why the name of this area is Moonland. Stay overnight in Lamayuru.
Post breakfast, drive towards Zanskar Valley through Sir Sir la and Singe La. Visit Zangla and Stongde Gompa en route to Padum. Arrived Padum by evening. Stay overnight in Padum.
After breakfast, we will start our journey for the Monasteries Tour. Karsha Monastery is the largest monastery in Zanskar Valley. By largest it does not mean the area, but the number of villages that are under this monastery. Quite naturally, it is also the richest monastery in the Zanskar region. Stongdey Monastery is located about 21km from Padum town towards Zangla. This is the second largest monastery in Zanskar Valley and is located over a hilltop. You can get a lovely view of the monastery from the road. The monastery was founded in 1052 AD. After that vist Sheela Water fall and Zangla Place The place was once under the rule of kings and served as the second capital to Zanskar valley in the ancient time. After Sightseeing, Reach Padum by evening.
After breakfast, we will start our journey for Sinkula pass towards enroute Purna Village and Phugtal Monastery Trek; it can take about two hrs for regular trekkers and about three hrs for non-regular trekkers (Phuktal Trek Option). After reaching the monastery, leave for Sinkula Pass, also known as Shingo La, is a mountain pass in India that connects the Lahaul region of Himachal Pradesh with the Zanskar region of Ladakh. The pass is 16,580 ft high and is located on the state boundary between the two regions. On the Way Mt Gonbo Rangjon is a 5,596-meter (18,360 ft) mountain in the Himalayas of India. It is located in the Lungnak valley, Zanskar, in the Union Territory of Ladakh. The mountain is considered holy and is referred to as "God's Mountain" by local Tibetan Buddhists. After Sightseeing, Reach Padum by evening.
Post breakfast we drive to Kargil. We drive through Pensi La also known as Gateway to Zanskar which connects Suru Valley to Zanskar region. One can have a view of beautiful Drung glacier. We will have short break at Rangdum a beautiful village on way to Kargil. We also pass through other beautiful villages like parkachik from where we can get view of Nun Kun peaks, Panikhar, Sankoo. Arrived Kargil by evening. Stay overnight in Kargil.
Early morning breakfast & leave for Srinagar, across Zojila Pass and its route’s uncertainty, you need to leave early in the morning, after early breakfast leave for Srinagar, via Zojila pass (3,528 m), enroute visiting Drass - War memorial hall & Museum. Drass is 2nd coldest inhabitant place in the world. Reach Srinagar by evening. Check in at hotel in Srinagar.
